Junior School Admissions
Reception to Year 6
Channing School is a member of the North London Independent Girls' Schools Consortium and follows its agreed Code of Practice for entry.
Entry to the Reception Class is by competitive assessment. Once registered, your daughter will be invited to an assessment in the January of the year of entry. The assessment is conducted informally, like a playgroup session. Girls work in small groups with a teacher on a variety of games and puzzles in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Successful candidates will be recalled for a second assessment a few weeks later, again to work in small groups with a member of staff for one hour. Offers of places are sent out on a date agreed by the other members of the North London Independent Girls' Schools Consortium.
Occasionally, we have vacancies in other Year Groups at the Junior School.
Please visit our Chance Vacancies page for more information and to obtain a registration form to be placed on the Waiting List.
Applications forms should be sent to:
The Registrar, Channing School, The Bank, London N6 5HF.
