Year 9
In Year 9 we consolidate the KS3 skills learned over their previous two years of study, but also look forward to GCSE.
Texts the girls study will anticipate the substance and range of the GCSE syllabus and they are expected to be confident, creative and competent in their analytical skills by the end of the year.
As well as exploring texts including Ash on a Young Man's Sleeve, Make Lemonade, A View from the Bridge and Romeo and Juliet, girls are introduced to summary writing and newspaper analysis and will start their GCSE speaking and listening coursework at the end of the Summer term.
