Physicial Education
Physical Education Philosophy and Approach
A wide variety of sports is available to students including the traditional major codes such as football, netball, hockey, rounders, tennis and athletics. But there are also a number of other sports such as badminton, cricket, volleyball and touch rugby. These ensure that all students will find a comprehensive range of learning opportunities for personal growth and the development of skills. Students also develop leadership skills, co-operative strategies, self management and goal-setting skills.
Teachers are committed to providing students with the best quality instruction. We promote the importance of being involved and participating in lifelong physical activity, through sports squads and clubs and representing Channing. No pupil is prevented from partaking in a sport on the grounds of a lack of ability.
