Year 6 Osmington Bay Trip
Our exciting adventure started on the 12th of May 2008 when we boarded the train to Weymouth at Waterloo station, ready for our departure to Osmington Bay. There were lots of emotional feelings in the air and we couldn’t wait to arrive. When we first saw the views we were amazed by the contrast to London.
Our three excursions were Corfe Castle, Durdle Door and rock pooling, we learnt a lot about the history of Corfe Castle and we were amazed by the beautiful views at Durdle Door.

We all really enjoyed the giant swing because it was a new experience as was the trapeze, it was a great challenge. We also found the rock climbing and abseiling really fun, many of us faced our fears and they were great team building activities. After some great activities and a tiring day we could go and enjoy some well balanced meals. One of our main highlights was the disco, everyone had fun including the teachers! We all dressed as street dancers and looked absolutely crazy.
On the last day we started packing our bags, sadly leaving Osmington Bay but excited to go and see our families again. When we arrived at the station we all met our parents and couldn’t wait to get home.
