Geography field trip to Devon
23.06.10
What better way to spend a summer’s weekend than in al fresco Geography field work on a beach in Devon? That’s what Year 10 and the Geography department thought, so we headed down to the village of Slapton on the English Riviera. After learning about the ecology of the area, the girls collected data about natural habitats along the shore line. This valuable information now forms the backbone for their controlled assessments, an important part of their GCSEs. Well done to Year 10 Geographers for their hard work and company over a fantastic weekend, spoiled only by a horrendous equaliser for the USA in England’s opening World Cup game.
