Year 10 Enrichment Week
After their exams, Year 10 were given the opportunity to experience a little taste of what life has to offer. On Tuesday 15 June they went to work and had a chance to see what a day of work really entails. They went to a huge variety of places from law firms to advertising agencies to design studios and one girl even shadowed her dog’s day at the vets. Wednesday saw them come together with Year 12 girls at our annual Careers Convention and once again this was a roaring success as they listened to up to four speakers describing their experiences and activities. As honory members of the Sixth Form for the day Year 10 enjoyed sandwiches and paninis in the Sixth Form centre instead of their normal lunch in the dining room. In the afternoon they were given taster lessons A Level style which they found interesting and very thought-provoking. That evening at the Oxbridge evening the girls heard a number of Old Girls talk inspiringly about their experiences and the special atmosphere of these universities. On a more relaxing note the girls enjoyed the thrills and spills of Thorpe Park on Thursday giving them a chance to let off steam after their exams.
