Year 10 Monopolise London

23.06.10

On Friday 11 June, the Year 10 non-Geographers ventured out across London for a day of discovery and competition.  20 girls were escorted to Leicester Square where we were given three hours to purchase as many properties as possible from the Monopoly Board.  We had already planned our routes taking us all round London.  Our group, Fiver, chose to go straight to Embankment.  After strolling down the South Bank and visiting St Paul’s Cathedral, we hurried onto the tube to purchase some more properties; Bond Street, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus.  We had intended to visit Buckingham Palace, but did not manage to fit it into our busy schedule.  By the end of the exploration we arrived back at our Trade Centre, Leicester Square, tired and happy to have completed our journey safely and successfully.  We all appreciated the time to relax, bond together as a team and discover new parts of London.
