Strategic objectives

1.       To offer an intellectually stimulating environment that is consistent with the school’s aims and that ensures that girls acquire the best education and qualifications for the next stage of education.

2.       To provide and maintain a school that is safe and secure for all pupils, staff and visitors to the school.

3.       To provide financial assistance and academic awards that enable and encourage applications from all suitably qualified girls.

4.       To increase the size of the Sixth Form to 120 girls and to agree a model for the optimum size of the school from 2010.

5.       To ensure that the school is properly funded, delivers value for money and makes best use of its existing assets.

6.       To improve the school’s achievements in sport and music.

7.       To achieve Green Flag status as an ‘eco’ school.

8.       To raise the profile of Channing School.
