The early Bird Club starts at 7.20am, girls may be escorted through the lower back door, round the terrace to theY6 classroom, where they will be signed in. Pupils can arrive at school from 8.10am and wait in the courtyard or playground with their parents until the school is opened at 8.20am. No earlier than 8.10am please, as staff are still driving through the courtyard before this time. Parents may leave their children in the courtyard, but as there is no member of staff on duty in the courtyard in the mornings this is done at their own discretion. If it is raining, children and parents may wait in the school hall.
The back doors open at 8.20am, the girls unpack their bags and go to their classrooms. Year 1 and Year 2 wait in the cloakroom to be escorted to their classroom by the Teacher or Teaching Assistant. Reception girls are escorted into their cloakrooms where they unpack and are then taken to their classroom by their parents. The doors close at 8.30am, if you arrive after the doors have closed then please report to the office.
The registers are taken at 8.30am. At 8.40am the first lesson begins. Morning break is short, and the children go to the hall for a drink of milk, juice, or water, with apples and biscuits. Girls then line up for assembly which starts at 10.30am, after assembly lessons resume at 10.55am.
At 12.15pm lunch for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 begin. Lunch is in the Fairseat Hall and sample menus can be found on our Parents page. Girls have a choice of hot or cold meals with vegetarian dishes. Desserts are offered and include yoghurts and fresh fruit. Drinking water is available at each table. During the lunch break, girls can enjoy playing with a variety of equipment in the playground and make good use of the adventure trail. Clubs also take place during this time.
At 1.20pm the girls will have registration and then resume lessons at 1.25pm.
School ends at the following times:
Reception 3.00pm
Y1 & Y2 3.15pm
Y3 & Y4 3.35pm
Y5 & Y6 3.40pm
There are after school clubs which take place at 3.15pm till 4.00pm for Reception to Year 2. 3.45pm till 4.30pm for year 3 to year 6. The Late Owl club takes place at 3.15pm till 5.50pm. The girls are supervised with homework here and have activities organised until they are collected and signed out.
