De-Feet-ing Bullying
11.06.08
Girls in the Middle School were delighted to join in with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s DeFeet Bullying campaign on 6 June.
Childline receives thousands of calls a day, and the number one topic is bullying.
The girls sported a range of bizarre and dazzling footwear for the day and many of them took part in a lunchtime quiz, ‘Whose shoes’, where they were invited to guess the owners of a puzzling and somewhat weird range of teachers’ footwear. Olivia Roxburgh in Year 8 won the quiz.
Ten girls were then short listed for the prize of most original footwear, judged by a host of teachers. The winner, wearing what can only be described as funky homemade shoes, was Gersende Youl in Year 9.
