Big Sisters

Every girl in Year 7 has a Big Sister in Year 8 whose responsibility it is to help her settle into Channing.

My Big Sister really helped me settle in; she sent me a card saying if there was anything I needed I could just ask.

A Big Sister will help her little sister settle in, answer any questions and be there for her as a helping hand. She may also live in the same neighbourhood so they may travel to school together. This friendship will hopefully continue through the school as pupils mentor younger girls at each stage of their education. They may have lunch together or meet for a chat. At Christmas, an annual Middle School Quiz takes place when tables of Big and little sister teams pit their wits against each other.
