Music at Lunchtime – ‘Waterlow Unplugged’

This week’s Music at Lunchtime was the much anticipated ‘Waterlow Unplugged’ as part of their charity week in aid of Young Minds. A number of acts delighted the packed Arundel Centre starting with Sophie Dain’s passionate performance of ‘Burn’ from Hamilton, followed by a delightful duet from Kimi Coetzee (Voice) and Ruby Davis (Voice and Piano) singing Pink’s ‘Just give me a reason’. Bluebell Horner stunned the audience with a soulful rendition of Sam Cooke’s ‘A change is gonna come’ and was followed by Clio Harwood playing a piano solo of her own contemporary style composition, ‘Serenade’. Following their acclaimed performance of a Bruno Mars medley, the Y12 A level music group repeated this to the delight of the Arundel Centre’s audience. ‘Waitress’ is the new upcoming musical of the day and Maddy Napier gave a stunning performance of ‘She used to be mine’ from this show. The finale was given by Riana Chandaria and Tilly Sumners on vocals accompanied by Martha Sayer on piano with Queen’s ‘Love of my life’. What a show! More vocals next week!
