Pygmalion

This week, students from Years 7, 8 and 9 performed George Bernard Shaw’s glorious comedy Pygmalion. It tells the story of how a Covent Garden flower girl (played by Olivia W in Year 7 with such wonderful energy) learns to speak with a ‘cut glass’ accent; changing her life forever. All of the students were magnificent as London street traders, dustmen, opera-goers, servants and aristocracy, police and elocution and speech experts, powerfully presenting all the hustle and bustle of Edwardian England. The technical and production team did an amazing job at handling some very challenging scene changes and the hair and makeup, costume and props team produced stunning results.
