Science Club – Bernoulli balls

In Science Club this week, students in Years 7 and 8 completed a range of physics activities. We looked at Bernoulli balls “levitating” in an airstream; Leila L and Siana C did a great job making their balls levitate, as you can see in the photographs. We also investigated how you can make balls bounce higher (try dropping a tennis ball and a football separately, and then drop them together with the tennis ball on top of the football – it’s pretty impressive!). Finally, have you ever wondered why you can’t break an egg by squeezing it? Go on – try it!
