From Harry Potter to The Three Lions to excessive amounts of fast food, the Globe’s production of ‘The Tempest’ reminded us that Shakespeare is not an antiquated thing of the past, but instead he still manages to entertain and amuse us to this day. When we went to see ‘The Tempest’, having only just started looking at the play, we were unsure of what to expect, but the production surpassed anything we could’ve imagined. It’s a timeless story about magic, power and loss – it left us on the edge of our seats and excited us in anticipation for our study of the play.
