We look forward to welcoming you to one of our Open Days, where you will be able to meet the Head of the Junior School, staff and pupils, have a tour of the school and take part in a Q&A session.

At these events you will hear from our Headmistress, Mrs Lindsey Hughes, as she speaks about the unique experience Channing can offer and you will be able to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team and our Registrar and ask them any questions you may have. You will have a tour led by current pupils where you will see for yourself our modern teaching and learning facilities including our Music School, Science Labs, Art Rooms, Sports facilities, our new Performing Arts theatre (the Arundel Centre), as well as our Library, leisure spaces and Dining Hall.

At our Sixth Form Open Evenings, you will have the opportunity to meet our Headmistress, Head of the Sixth Form, staff, and current pupils. You will also receive a guided tour of the school, visit our academic departments, and learn about the subjects we offer at A Level.

When are Channing's open days?
Our next event is on Tuesday 3 November (9am to 11am).
Dates are listed on this page and we recommend booking early, as places are popular.
Do I need to book for an open day?
Yes, we ask families to book in advance so that we can give every visitor a warm welcome and manage numbers. You can book via our open days page.
Can I visit if I can't make an open day?
If you are unable to attend an open day, please contact our Admissions Office. In special circumstances we may be able to arrange an individual visit but these are rare. You can also explore the school through our virtual open days and 360 virtual tours at any time.
Will I meet the Headmistress and staff on an open day?
Open days typically include a talk from the Headmistress and pupils, a tour by pupils and the chance to meet senior leadership and teaching staff.
Which open day should I attend for my daughter's age?
We run separate open events for the Junior School (4+), Senior School (11+) and Sixth Form (16+), so please book the one that matches your daughter’s entry point. If you are unsure, the Admissions Office will point you to the right event.
Is there parking, and how do I get to the school?
Channing is a nine-minute walk from Archway and Highgate underground stations. Parking is limited on Highgate Hill but there are some pay and display bays. See our Transport page for full travel information.
