Channing, an independent school based in North London, where girls aged 4 to 18 can discover their interests, develop their talents, and build lasting friendships. Our inspiring environment fosters academic achievement and personal growth.
The school actively prepares pupils for the future.
A visionary all-girls school full of extremely confident, capable and engaging young women.
‘Fearless’ teaching and learning, encouraging girls to step out of their comfort zone and be ‘10 per cent braver’, is reaping academic rewards. It is a useful life lesson too, but not at the expense of school being fun.
Excellent academics, fantastic pastoral care and a wonderful way of imbuing girls with self-confidence, Channing makes a strong argument for single-sex education.
Girls throw themselves into all aspects of school life, and teacher commitment goes way beyond the classroom.

An unforgettable evening of GCSE Music at the Arundel Centre! Sixteen talented Year 10 performers delivered a superb mix of styles and instruments, with standout moments across violin, piano, voice, bassoon, flute, clarinet, trumpet and cello. The programme was varied, polished and full of character from start to finish. Well done to all our performers—brilliant work!
This week, some of our Year 2 pupils have been using a bow-saw and potato peelers to cut and shape wood.
Years 7 and 8 were buzzing with ideas for writing historical fiction after attending a talk and workshop by author Lucy Strange today. Lucy shared where she gets ideas from, her tips for writing historical fiction and prompts to start firing pupils` imaginations. What a great way to launch our historical fiction competition for Years 7-8!
On Tuesday 13th January, we were fortunate to welcome Art Historian, Verity Babbs to our school for a fascinating talk about her new book, `The History of Art in One Sentence`. She spoke openly about her career path and experiences in the art world. Her talk felt engaging and personal, encouraging us to think about art history in a more relaxed and curious way.
