Last week’s Music at Lunchtime recital started with an exciting Rondino by Gryspeerdt played with much virtuosity by Nuha I on the clarinet.The fast pace set by Nuha did not let up in Yutao’s electrifying performance of Goens’Tarantella on the cello.This up-tempo recital slowed just a little with the allegro movement from Neruda’s Trumpet Concerto, played with real aplomb and such beautiful tone by Anna R-B. Our two singers then calmed us all down, firstly by Bella K’s heartfelt performance of ‘Wishing you were somehow here again’ and finishing with a provocative and arresting performance of Granados’ ‘El majo discreto’, sung by Sophia S.
