Music at Lunchtime – Friday 19th April

Last week’s show kicked off with a bang featuring a Gershwin extravaganza by Yutao W in 10RM. Yutao dazzled with intricate jazzy rhythms in ‘The Man I Love’ and ‘I Got Rhythm’, showcasing excellent technique and capability. Following that was an emotionally charged performance by Leahnora TL of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Adele. She exhibited amazing vocal control and vibrato that would have made Adele proud, all while accompanying herself! Wrapping up the week, we were treated to Mr. Fallon’s Live Lounge!!! This ensemble of Year 8, 9, and 10 students delivered three stellar songs – ‘Made You Look’ by Meghan Trainor, ‘Rehab’ by Amy Winehouse, and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ by Frankie Valli – complete with brass, rhythm, and guitar sections, as well as four incredible vocalists. Their outstanding performances even featured audience participation and clapping, resulting in a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Their showcase even inspired the creation of our own Sixth Form Live Lounge, so stay tuned for announcements at the start of next term. They provided the perfect conclusion to the first lunchtime concert of the Summer Term, and we eagerly anticipate more Live Lounge performances in the weeks ahead. Be sure to listen again here:
