Theatre Design Workshops

This week, students have taken on a variety of creative roles behind the scenes in the theatre, both during the KS3 production rehearsals and in a series of extracurricular Theatre Design workshops.

The backstage team of Daisy Pulls it Off have been hard at work as wardrobe supervisors and scenic artists, skillfully conducting costume fittings and painting backdrops and flats. Meanwhile, KS4 students have been honing their set design skills, demonstrating incredible dedication and attention to detail as they create precise 1:25 scale models of their chosen 3m x 3m interiors.

KS3 students have explored the world of SFX makeup, mastering techniques to create realistic and gruesome effects such as broken glass embedded in wounds, broken bones protruding from fingers, painful-looking bruises, and pus-filled boils.

The enthusiasm, effort, and creativity of all the students have been truly outstanding—well done to everyone involved!
