Channing School is delighted to announce excellent GCSE results this year, with many students achieving an outstanding level of success. The school community is celebrating the hard work and dedication of its pupils, whose efforts have been rewarded with impressive grades.

A fantastic 36% of all results were awarded grade 9.  In addition, 63% of grades were at 8-9 and 81% of all results were graded 7-9.

51% of the year group achieved a full set of results at grades 7-9, including eight students with all grade 9s (five of whom are celebrating ten grade 9 GCSEs) and a further nineteen with all 8-9 grades.

Significant departmental successes this year include Drama, English, German and Latin, with more than 75% of their results awarded grades 8-9.

Lindsey Hughes, Headmistress, is full of praise for her Year 11 cohort and their teachers:

“I am delighted to congratulate all our students for their GCSE grades. This is the direct result of their hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank our teachers who have worked tirelessly to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment.

I look forward to welcoming our students back to Channing in September ready to begin their A level studies and embrace all the opportunities afforded to them in the Channing Sixth Form.”
