You are warmly invited to the Autumn Concert, which will be held in the splendid setting of St Joseph’s Church on Thursday 19th November at 7.30pm.

The Autumn Concert is an amazing showcase of the students’ talents and is the first opportunity this year to hear our larger ensembles perform with this being the first live concert for many! The exciting programme includes music from ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Interstellar’ from instrumental groups and exciting choral music from five choirs ranging in age from Year 5 to Year 13. With classics such as Bethoven’s 5th Symphony and music by the American composer, Copland, there will be much to tickle the ear that night! The ensembles performing are: The Symphony and Concert Orchestras, Brunner Show Choir, Conabor Choir, Cantemus Chorus, Spears Vocals, Chacapella, Senior and Cremona Strings and the Brass Ensemble.

Set in the image-obsessed world of late-1980s Britain, a decade defined by Thatcherism, individualism, and consumer culture, our adaptation of Carol Ann Duffy’s Everyman is a thrilling, funny, and unsettling journey that asks what remains when the glamour fades. Beneath this surface of opportunity lies a culture obsessed with status and material success. Medieval audiences were warned against placing faith in earthly wealth; for us, the language has changed, but the moral questions remain: What do we place our faith in, and what happens when those things can no longer save us At the centre is Every, embodying a generation sold the dream of limitless ambition. Confronted by Death, she revisits her past in a Scrooge-like journey, forced to face who she is and how she has lived. Drawing on the atmosphere of late-80s dance culture, and a surreal landscape of memories, the production moves between reality and dream. As Every moves closer to her reckoning, her world begins to glitch under the weight of global tragedy, asking: Does life’s brevity mean we live without care for the consequences? Through high-energy choreography, music, and song, our ensemble brings this dynamic stage world to life, creating nightclubs, department stores, and moments of transformation inspired by the decade’s hedonism. Our talented student cast and creative team have created a bold, visually striking piece of theatre. Step into a world both recognizable and unlike anything you’ve seen!
