Job Description

Required for September 2024

We seek a dynamic and motivated PE specialist to support the Teacher in Charge of Football at Channing.  This is a maternity cover position, for one year in the first instance. The ability to coach football to a high level is essential. The ability to teach GCSE Physical Education is desirable but not essential. The role will include the commitment to run several lunchtime and after-school clubs and fixtures during the school week. The postholder/s should also expect to participate in weekend commitments to school sport if required.

At Channing School girls enjoy success without undue pressure, on a beautiful site in Highgate, North London. Our distinctive Unitarian ethos of kindness, respect and tolerance underpins a happy, busy community.

The school is in an attractive part of Highgate, with convenient transport links by road and underground. Visitors are often surprised at how light, green and open our site is. We have preserved the character of the older buildings, but completely refurbished and redesigned them to provide bright and spacious teaching rooms.
