Channing, an independent school based in North London, where girls aged 4 to 18 can discover their interests, develop their talents, and build lasting friendships. Our inspiring environment fosters academic achievement and personal growth.
The school actively prepares pupils for the future.
A visionary all-girls school full of extremely confident, capable and engaging young women.
‘Fearless’ teaching and learning, encouraging girls to step out of their comfort zone and be ‘10 per cent braver’, is reaping academic rewards. It is a useful life lesson too, but not at the expense of school being fun.
Excellent academics, fantastic pastoral care and a wonderful way of imbuing girls with self-confidence, Channing makes a strong argument for single-sex education.
Girls throw themselves into all aspects of school life, and teacher commitment goes way beyond the classroom.

The Goethe Institut`s German Week was celebrated at Channing with a German Just Dance (Nena`s 99 Luftballons and more), in our German Book Club (they are reading Tintenherz) and at the German Fun Club, our partnership club with St Joseph`s Catholic Primary School, where this week students learnt to describe their pets. #ShoutOutForGerman #Gimagine

The Tea Time Recital last week was fantastic!
KS2 pupils wowed their audiences with beautifully polished solo performances they’ve been working hard on.
They all sounded superb — bravo to everyone involved!
✍️💙 It’s #NationalHandwritingDay!
Some snaps of our Pen Pals Club hard at work writing letters for the charity Omega, who support socially isolated people across the country.
We’re sure these letters will brighten someone’s day 💌

Our budding Year 7 set designers have been exploring their own design ideas for James and the Giant Peach in anticipation of the upcoming KS3 production. They took part in a practical workshop in the Arundel Centre, where they learned about the set design process and created their own sketches and “white card” models. They produced thoughtful and inspiring designs with enthusiasm and maturity. Well done, girls!
