Channing Eagles Take Flight to Victory

Hot on the tails of revision and exams, the day after Founders’ Day, and with the help of a dad bringing some of the team from a Channing girl’s Bat Mitzvah, the Senior School’s “Channing Eagles” cheerleading team enjoyed success with an impressive performance on Sunday 2 July at the LDCA League Finals. The Channing girls achieved a well-deserved bronze medal after an artistic and acrobatic display which required everyone to be at least 10% braver.

Not only did the Channing girls demonstrate the sort of teamwork and mutual support that we have come to expect but Liya S was also selected for a special mention and a bouquet of flowers as one of the top “cheerleaders of the day”.

Meanwhile, the juniors came second overall in the League for the whole academic year – an amazing job!
