Channing’s Character Education Programme is a unique initiative exclusive to our Junior School. This programme focuses on teaching children essential values and behaviors that contribute to a fulfilling and meaningful life. Through engaging lessons, activities, and thoughtful conversations, pupils learn to embody these important principles.

We are delighted to have our very own Forest School at Channing thanks to our wonderful green setting. Each week, girls in Reception (from the second half of the Autumn Term), Years 1 – 4 have Forest School sessions in the natural wooded area at the bottom of the school grounds. This area is well-sheltered with tree canopies and is inhabited by a variety of flora and fauna! At Channing Junior School, Early Birds (our breakfast club provision) starts at 7.30am, offering the girls a nutritious breakfast and a calm start to the day. Late Owls (our after school club) runs until 6.00pm, with activities such as crafts, mindfulness and games available. Find out more info here.
